Tim Holtz Dress Form Die
Played around with the dress form die and turned my granddaughters and great-granddaughter into paper dolls:
Ashley, baby Ella Rose, Amanda and Victoria.
And there are more:
Alexis, Holli, Caitlin and Madison
and one more:
this is Deanna.
It was fun playing around with the die, cutting dresswa, adding ribbon and bling. If I could just figure out how to turn them into boys I could do my grandsons.

Postcard #8 - Cuba
This week finds us in Cuba. Since my storyline runs with a fashion photographer, I have again created a postcard with a model in a costume for Mardi Gras. Zoey is in Santiago, Cuba dong a shoot for Carnival at Mardi Gras.
FRONT:
I found the model sketch on line and printed it out and created the costume by paper piecing and did a little painting with markers and stickles.
BACK:
STORY:
Dear Ann:
Today is Fat Tuesday....Mardi Gras. I am in Santiago, Cuba doing a shoot for the Carnival.
Spectacular street musical parties, costumes, dancing. The whole City is alive with
music and color. I got a letter from Jon Paul, not certain where this relationship will go.
We are always countries apart and he is holding back something about himself. We shall
see what it is. My love to John and Andrew.
Love and Kisses Zoey
I love this Postcard Challenge. The more postcard I make the better I like it. I have learned not to stress about the postcard but just go with it. Sometimes they aren't perfect but I absolutely love doing them. Thank you Darcy. Can't wait to see where we go next. Love the hints about where we might go.

How high is your stack of pictures waiting to be scrapbooked? My pile is so high it will never get done.
So I am just taking one picture at a time and getting very simple pages done.
This pictures goes back to 1998 - my youngest daughter Christy's senior picture. Very plain page using cardstock and pattern paper, one embellishment made with cardstock and pattern paper. Very simple but it has moved to the finished pile.
Layout:
This one is of Amanda - 2nd Grade, she is now a senior in high school:
And one more....Tori age 5 in Kindergarten....she is going to be 16 in May:
So I got a little scrapping done today.

Postcard #7 - Wales
This week finds us in Wales. The storyline continues with Zoey the Fashion Photographer doing a photoshoot in Wales. The subject of her photoshoot is Princess Diana of Wales. Front of the postcard depicts an image of Diana which has been matted and stickled to give it a little sparkle. There is a 3-D fabric dress focused on the front card which has been placed on a dress form and embellished with bling.
front:
The storyline continues with Zoey telling Ann: Oh My Gosh....doing a fashion shoot featuring Princess Diana of Wales. No wonder there is such a buzz about her, she is absolutely stunning and very friendly. Not much time to check out the country side. I have an actual date with Jon Paul a French news report who is doing a documentary on Princess Diana. Will send details soon. My love to John and Baby Andrew.
Love and kisses ....Zoey:
back:
We shall see if there is a romantic interest in store for Zoey.

Fantastic shots of chocolate and fashion. Chocolates are being sent your way courtesy of Madam Dumon. The chocolates are well worth the calories. Give my love to John and baby Andrew.
Love and kisses....Zoey.

Postcard #5 - France
This week finds us in France. While doing my fashion research about France, I learned that the bikini swimsuit was created in the summer of 1946 by 2 French fashion designers, Jack Heim & Louis Reard. So in honor of my fashion shoot theme, I created a yellow polka dotted bikini with ribbon trim and bling belly button. The background of the postcard is the Notre Dame Gardens.
Postscard front:
My story lines continues with Zoey sending postcard to Ann who lives in Utica, NY. Postscard reads:
Nov. 11, 1986
Dear Ann:
Ooh La La ... Paris, France, for another fashion shoot. I am staying an extra week to see
all of the fabulouis sights, museums and of course shopping. Did you know the bikini swimsuit was created in the summer of 1946 by 2 French fashion designers, Jack Heim & Louis Reard. I was so happy to meet baby Andrew on our visit in June. Give my love to John and baby Andrew. Off to explore the streets of Paris.
Love and kisses....Zoey
Back of Postcard:
So the story progresses for these 2 college roommates. Ann lives in Utica, NY (lovely town I visited on a vacation). She is a newspaper columnist for her local newspaper. She married John and now has a baby boy named Andrew. Zoey on the other hand lives in New York City (also visited on a vacation) but spends her time traveling around doing fashion shoots as she is a fashion photographer. Zoey has a wonderful job traveling the world.....but so far there is no love in her live. (We may have to fix this.)
Thanks Darcy for the challenge.....can't wait to see where we go next week.

Did a Little Scrapping Today/MS Walk
I did a little scrapbooking today. I have a pile of those 8x10 pictures that I didn't know what to do with, so I took a look at the pile and thought why not scrap them. So this picture was the first one I decided to work on, picture is old. The baby in the picture, Cody, is now 13. Thought I would share. This is my son's family. Dan, Terri, Amanda and Cody. They were married 14 years on Monday. Happy Anniversary.
My son, Dan, has MS (multiple sclerosis) and is no longer able to walk. He turned 40 in October. His disease has progressed rather quickly and he is confined to a wheel chair/scooter. He has a good outlook regarding his illness and decided that he would deal with what he was dealt and not let it cause him to give up. He is still able to drive using hand controls and is able to get around his neighborhood on his motorized scooter. They don't have a handicap van so he needs help once he gets to the van, someone has to load the scooter into the van for him and unload when they reach their destination, but they have figured it out and are doing what they have to do. I am proud of the fact that while he wouldn't wish this disease on anyone, he hasn't given up.
April 21, 2012...we will be participating in the MS walk in Evansville, IN to support Dan's Team.
